1. as you may know, we've recently partnered with roots juices in hopes of providing you with more delicious options to choose from when ordering from us. we love these products, & we especially love the healthy impact they have on our bodies.
2. emi-jay hair ties are perfect for a quick ponytail. hop out of work at lunchtime, throw up your hair in an emi-jay tie, go for a quick run & you’ll sneak back into the office without anyone knowing you were gone – these fantastic ties don’t leave creases in your hair.
3. on tuesday, jess shared that she loves her some mumford & sons, so it should come as no surprise that we’ve been rocking out to the band’s new album, "babel," this week.
4. this patagonia fleece pullover looks so comfy and cozy. we can’t wait to rock one of these when the temperatures in dallas get a little bit cooler.
5. the great taco run 5k, 10k & 10 mile is on sunday – is there really any better race than one that involves a good morning run followed by delicious tacos provided by the likes of velvet taco, rusty taco & urban taco?

last week, you got to know tarin a little bit better. this week, we want to introduce you to jess.

jess hangs in the kitchen only when tarin needs help, and spends all of her time developing and operating the business, crunching numbers & handling marketing.  jess received a master's degree in global entrepreneurship & management & she loves putting her skills & knowledge to use by launching new innovative concepts, like her san francisco-based company, M.A.D. foods
read on to learn a little bit more about jess, & stay tuned for next week's post - jess & tarin will be asked to answer questions about each other, testing how much they really know about one another!

what were you up to prior to your life here with fullosophie?
i was in san francisco! during the past two years there, i finished my masters degree, went back to work for the same fortune 500 company i had been with prior to graduate school, entered a business idea into the san francisco street food festival with no prior food experience whatsoever, won [!], quit my corporate job & started M.A.D. foods! phew!

what inspired you to launch a new business?
tarin came to california to visit me for a weekend. we started talking about what we would really love to do in life, & we observed that our dreams totally merged with our strengths & talents. we realized that it was a no-brainer to start fullosophie together.

if you had to sum up your personal fullosophie in one sentence, what would it be?
do what you love; life's too short for anything else.

what’s your favorite way to exercise?
even after five knee surgeries, i'd still have to say running (against my orthopedic surgeon's wishes). when my knees won’t let me run as much as i’d like, i love to do pilates & swim.
Picture
jess' favorite way to exercise growing up and all through college. #18 on clemson women's soccer team.
where do you shop for everyday clothes? for workout gear?
the sale rack. i love scoring a good deal. as for workout gear, i do love perusing the sports basement in san francisco, and never turn away a gift from lululemon. i do splurge on running shoes every three to four months.

what’s the best thing you’ve eaten recently?
omg – this sushi dish at nobu last week. it was red snapper sashimi on top of peeled fuji apple slices, topped with jalapeno relish & nori flakes. it was unreal.

dish of jess's dreams (as described above)
what songs are on your running playlist?
i’m a pandora girl. my top two stations right now are cardio electronic & mumford & sons.

what are your top three favorite restaurants in dallas?
even though i lived here for two years before moving to san francisco, the only restaurant i can think of right now is breadwinners. the top two places i want to try are shinsei & oak.

what piece of kitchenware could you never go without?
a coffee mug.

if you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?
laos.

so close to laos... yet so far. jess in thailand.

happy friday, friends! we’re so excited to launch our new weekly blog series, fullosophie’s fave finds. each friday, we’ll share five favorite links from around the web, all of which inspire us to continue leading healthy lifestyles. these items will range from delicious recipes & must-have cookware to exercise clothes [because on the days when going for a run seems unappealing, nothing boosts the mood more than a new top], fun workout regiments & cool causes accomplishing inspiring things. join us in this new weekly blog series & feel free to send us your fave finds – we’d love to hear from you!

1. we think this star runner long sleeve top by lululemon is the perfect shirt to wear on our morning runs, especially now that summer is transitioning into fall.
2. we don't think there's any better way to caffeinate than by cozying up to a steaming mug of blue bottle's drip coffee.

3. we love that we can be simultaneously stylish and philanthropic by donning a pair of warby parker frames - for each pair that is purchased, wp donates a pair to someone in need.

4. we want to take a cooking class or join a supper club at dai due in austin - stat.

5. fall means it's time to break out the boots, enjoy all things pumpkin-flavored, frolic in crunchy leaves, and hunker down on the bleachers for a football game (or five). as clemson grads, we can't help but root for our alma mater - go, tigers!

we're in full swing here at fullosophie! we made our first deliveries yesterday & we can't wait to hear feedback from our fantastic customers. we hope everyone is enjoying some farm-to-fork goodness right about now.

you know all about us [jess & tarin] as business partners, but we wanted to let you get to know us as individuals. this week, we're giving you some insight into tarin holcomb's life. she's the head chef around here & the creative lead for all of the glorious food we present weekly. tare has been collecting and creating recipes for years. she has binders, multiple 3' ring binders stuffed to the brim with inspiring cuisine, many of which fullosophie brings to life every week. read on to learn more about what makes tarin tick:

what were you up to prior to your life here with fullosophie?
being bored and unhappy! i was working as a lawyer here in dallas.

what inspired you to begin cooking?
my parents. my parents are great cooks & i’m pretty sure i can count the number of times we ate in restaurants as kids on my hands. my mom loves following recipes & my dad is a little more inventive.

she was destined to be in the food business.
if you had to sum up your personal fullosophie in one sentence, what would it be?
always say please & thank you.

what’s your favorite way to exercise?
i am a big advocate of running. i started running every day [7x per week] about 12 years ago & haven’t stopped. it’s really become an addiction, but i’m not looking to kick it.
where do you shop for everyday clothes? for workout gear?
i shop the world wide web for my everyday clothes. i try to avoid the mall & dressing rooms as much as possible. honestly, my workout gear consists mainly of free t-shirts i’ve picked up at races, philanthropy events, and sorority events during college.

what’s the best thing you’ve eaten recently?
i had guacamole yesterday & i really can’t think of any food i enjoy more than that.
Picture
Tarin has had a not so secret love affair with guacamole from a young age.

and she's gotten a little more graceful as the years have progressed.
what songs are on your running playlist?
the songs change every few months but right now i’m listening to “ho hey” by the lumineers, “no strings” by mayer hawthorne & “hold on” by the alabama shakes.

what are your top three favorite restaurants in dallas?
i really like hibiscus [for something nice], louie’s [for pizza] & mi cocina [for mexican].

what piece of kitchenware could you never go without?
a sharp knife! i even bring a sharpener when we go on vacation & i’m staying in a condo/house that’s equipped with a kitchen.

if you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?
there are so many places i want to go but i think i’ll have to say that i really want to go to blackberry farm in tennessee.

we're live! and what an exciting & adventurous 3.5 months it has been.  as most of you know we formulated fullosophie on a weekend trip to pebble beach over Memorial Day and since then have been busting our runner tooshies to get fullosophie off the ground.  well, we're both happy to say it all came to fruition last week.

September 7th will always be a day to remember.  After many a trips to goodwill, central market, mozzarella company, and more local establishments we were able to put together a delicious 3 course meal (with wine pairings)  for 20+ special guests.

Our evening couldn't have been summed up any better than here. Big thanks to Liz at Oh Hey Dallas for the write up.  Make sure to check out her blog.
